Abstract

Stem cell therapy has emerged as a promising treatment for bone regeneration and cartilage

repair due to its regenerative properties and ability to differentiate into various cell types.

This paper reviews current research on stem cell-based approaches for treating bone and

cartilage injuries, highlighting the mechanisms through which stem cells contribute to tissue

regeneration, the different types of stem cells utilized, and the clinical applications and

challenges faced in these therapies. Despite significant advancements, issues such as

immunogenicity, ethical concerns, and the optimal methods for stem cell transplantation

remain key areas of ongoing research. The potential of stem cell therapy to revolutionize

orthopedic treatment is immense, but further research is needed to refine these techniques for

safe and effective clinical use.
