Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) is a growing public health concern
characterized by the accumulation of fat in the liver in the absence of significant alcohol
consumption. As one of the most common liver disorders worldwide, NAFLD can lead to
severe complications, including cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma. This paper explores
the pathophysiology, risk factors, diagnostic approaches, emerging therapies, and clinical
management strategies for NAFLD. The review highlights the importance of early diagnosis
and the shift toward personalized medicine in managing NAFLD. Novel therapeutic
approaches, including pharmacological treatments targeting metabolic pathways and liver
inflammation, as well as lifestyle interventions, are discussed. This paper underscores the
need for a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to managing NAFLD to reduce its
burden on global health.
