Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted the lives of individuals globally, with profound

impacts on various aspects of mental health. Among the most vulnerable populations are

children and adolescents, who have experienced significant increases in anxiety and

depression during the pandemic. This paper explores the rising trends in mental health

concerns among young people, examining the factors contributing to these trends, such as

social isolation, disruptions in education, and changes in family dynamics. The study

synthesizes existing literature on the effects of the pandemic on children's mental health and

highlights the long-term implications of these trends. Strategies for addressing and mitigating

the impact of these mental health challenges are also discussed.
