Abstract

Skin aging is a multifactorial process influenced by intrinsic and extrinsic factors, including

genetics, environmental exposure, and lifestyle. Antioxidants and anti-aging skincare

products have been the subject of considerable research, aiming to mitigate the effects of

aging and protect against skin damage. This paper explores the biological mechanisms of skin

aging, the role of antioxidants in preventing cellular damage, and the efficacy of anti-aging

skincare products. Through a comprehensive review of current literature, this paper provides

insights into how antioxidants and topical treatments can contribute to the prevention of

premature aging. The evidence suggests that antioxidants like vitamins C and E, along with

other active ingredients in skincare, can significantly improve skin health and appearance

when used consistently.
